The Smallest Things in the Close Proximity of Man

And without our being aware of it, the attention of our daily consciousness is fixed only upon a very narrow part of the actual happening

The attention is concerned predominantly with the everyday necessities arising from the settings of the present social customs and duties on Earth

These social customs and duties are at the same time conditions created by men, which, however accommodating they may appear outwardly, inwardly often conceal the utmost effort to suppress spiritual freedom and also maintain the state of a cruel struggle for survival

The attention of man is therefore narrowly directed towards maintaining his own alertness with regard to the interests of other people, who not seldom lie in wait for his hesitation and his mistakes

In reality there is lastingly contained in this the principle of temptation and the striving to concentrate solely upon increasing the pressure towards an intellectual way of seeing the world

Contained in it are all the traits of the waning, devastating influence of Lucifer upon the human spiritual species in the materialities

The greatest part of those who intervene in all life on Earth is still exposed to this influence

This consumes an enormous part of the spiritual power in men, because of which they then lack this power for far more valuable kinds of receptivity, which would bring higher knowledge and thereby wisdom

It is a sad state, which has become the norm without men recognising even a little of it

The whole of mankind floats resignedly in this, in a state of a certain dulled receptivity of intuitive perception

Thereby the spiritual ignorance of human existence is maintained over a long time

Men perceive nothing outside their material human world

That is why important happenings, which at the same time unfold in close proximity around man, are almost never caught by them in time

The forming and coming into being of events which approach man from the near as well as from the distant future, in order to enter into his present moment, is not perceived intuitively

Concentrating solely upon outer matter causes men all the difficulties which at the same time would not need to come to them at all

Men of today lack not only knowledge of the high levels of Creation, but for them receptivity has also been completely lost even for the small things in their surroundings, which are, however, exceedingly important, for these are usually the harbingers of everything greater which in the end bursts into life with severe interventions

What is missing here is receptivity for the lastingly active weaving of the Aglami, who always prepare in advance the fine paths for everything that will flow into the present of man

The Aglami also always point out in advance, in their own ways, what we call shattering happening, which then seemingly unexpectedly bursts into many a human life

Because the Aglami do this in their own ways, it is difficult for men of today to grasp

In the present material setting of men it is almost a certainty that men do not perceive the work of the Aglami

They are no longer perceived even by children, who formerly were permitted to see and hear them far more

The Aglami have already been spoken of earlier on THE WAY OF THE GRAIL

It is precisely they who, in a certain sense, prepare the paths for the threads of the Alphar

In reality the Aglami also belong to the Alphar, but they are a separate kind of animistic servants, who thanks to their radiation keep themselves near men without this causing them difficulties as it would, for example, the animistic kind which works directly in wild nature

The Aglami constantly surround the world of men and are very active in it

But because this takes place on a level which today is not perceived, it remains entirely outside the attention of men stuck in a material way of seeing life

It has thus become something ordinary for the majority, just as is precisely the not perceiving of the fine streams of the Aether around man

Yet it is constantly here, and men could gain from it daily immensely valuable impressions if they would rightly guide themselves by it

In this respect the Aglami are the nearest little artists, who are able to work literal miracles with the effects of the Aether

For example, by means of forces from the Aether they are able to change the colour and appearance of material things, or even to make them invisible

It is also precisely they who are able to bring about penetrations of material substances in a way which lies outside the chemical and physical processes otherwise known to men

They thus work in all kinds of elements and their states of aggregation

But it is not precisely this that should make them more enticing to men in coming to know them, but rather, in the first place, their presence everywhere where something far greater is being prepared in small hints

We can speak of a small work which precedes great changes

It is directly their mission

They are the small preparers of the entry of events into the gross material world

That is why it is precisely the small Aglami who know of many a happening already many years in advance

Among their kind there prevails a certain speech, with which they speak in hints to man about what awaits him

Their speech lies in the symbolism of happenings

It is, however, a very idiosyncratic speech, from the point of view of the animistic world somewhat cheeky

The cheekiness of the Aglami lies in their playing on us earthly men what from our point of view appear to be deliberate pranks, which sometimes lead to various troubles

In reality, however, they are meant to be precisely that important notice that some changes are approaching

It is a call made through unexpected happenings

And yet it is in reality a genuine call for man to stop in his earthly hurrying and to feel through intuitively again and again whether the direction in which he has set out is unreservedly right, and whether what he does in his ways of acting is the right thing, of which, alas, many people are very often rock-solidly convinced

The Aglami prompt men to detach themselves from their learned, rigid forms of acting

In ancient times men were able to attach a far deeper meaning to their activity

Today all this is superficially passed over, unless of course it leads to anger, which is the companion of unrest in the human world

Precisely in earlier times men were also more capable in that here and there they caught a quiet whispering which accompanied one of the small difficulties that befell them during the day

Already the mere stopping of man and his pondering why this or that happens to him so strikingly could become an opportunity for his opening himself to the counsels of the animistic servants or spiritual helpers who are near him

Thereby some genuine threat, lying in the distance in the threads of fate, would easily become more recognisable, for man would receive a clearer view through the activity of the spiritual helpers

There is truly much that is constantly around man and that, through the manifestations of small things, tries to draw attention to the need for a change in the direction of his wandering

A certain hardship, however, is that this is done by the Aglami in ways which men do not understand, and therefore for a very long time already they have regarded them only as troubles and difficulties that exist merely out of spite

In the work of Creation, however, the All-Wisdom of God set up from the beginning many helps, which could constantly point men to all the places of their soul in which it is good to unfold and thereby to move further

The language used in this by the animistic servants, however, has become an entirely foreign speech to men

Today men, and as was mentioned no longer even children, do not perceive the language of this speech, which only centuries ago was at the same time much closer to men

It therefore remains an entirely unknown language, in which man of today no longer finds his way at all, and therefore he also knows nothing closer about the far more important happening which lies for him in the woven threads of fate

It is thus quite sad to see how the smallest things, which could at the same time be for men the most joyful experiences of help from the constantly nudging Aglami, remain lying entirely outside all attention, which is fixed upon the coarsest happenings in matter

The inner being of men is at the same time still in a certain kind of capability to bring all this to life again

Almost with ease this could once more become part of the receptivity of the human world, when it is precisely small hints that can serve as warnings before an otherwise heavy and often already unchangeable influx of great events

Would that men opened themselves more in this

It would at once bring into their life more joy and the immediate experiencing of a certain belonging with a world which otherwise remains closed to the human eye

It is not, however, so very impossible

It can be said that in every man there lies, in his nervous make-up, the ability of a certain receptivity for small happenings around him

It can be called a remembering of the sound of a forgotten language

All the small things, to which belong every breaking of a cup or plate that falls out of the hand, any thing that suddenly gets lost and cannot be found, every spontaneously recurring untying of a shoelace, a loosened screw that makes the running of a machine impossible, and literally thousands of further happenings of every kind found daily around men, could be a moment for reflecting on what is mirrored in these happenings and whether they are merely the work of human inattentiveness, or whether they contain within them a quiet call through seemingly inexplicable chance occurrences

Yes, intellectual materialists mostly laugh at all these things

But only until those events reach them whose effects they are no longer able to withstand and by which they must then be struck in full measure

The world around men constantly lives and pulsates, bearing within itself the fulfilment of an ancient promise that precisely the animistic will remind men in its language of the existence of happenings which bear the harbinger of other serious changes, which are being fulfilled through the threads of fate woven by the Alphar

He who truly longs to prepare himself for the happening that is approaching through the intensifying effects of the Ray of Parzival should every day make his own at least the smallest part of the language of the small animistic ones

It is only earthly months that separate man in his complete ignorance from awakening and from opening the eyes of his inner being

The awakening will come in any case

But already in advance one can make one's own much that will then be, for the majority of men, an unbelievable turning point in their understanding of life and of the whole world around them

Of course, even today men may still mock all this and call it childishness or foolishness which does not belong to the serious world of materialists

Yes, those who laugh the most are mostly the ones who, on the other hand, believe boundlessly in the infallibility of science

And it is strange that precisely science very often speaks of the extraordinary development of instincts in animals

Scientific researchers often point out that animals act far more wisely than men at various moments of life

No one, however, any longer reflects that these strongly developed instincts described by science are the result of the connection of animals with the activity of the animistic servants

And still less do they try to think through the connections, that it is precisely the Aglami who work in nature and often also upon domestic animals, which can behold and hear them more easily than men

Within the sphere of activity of the Aglami lie counsels and helps to individual animals, those which we know as not belonging to the herd kind

In the case of herd animals, just as is so with all small creatures and insects, it is then always a matter of animistic servants – herdsmen, who in turn have their origin among the Alphar

Much more will still need to be brought closer concerning the activity of the animistic servants, for it is an inseparable part of men's knowledge of the world for a full-valued experiencing of life

This will happen very soon already

What men today avoid, deny or foolishly mock will in a short time already be the subject of many conversations and serious considerations

The superior force that lies behind the pressure which brings changes is, for the human comfort as it has been hitherto, a reason for fear, for all previous ideas about the essence of all life will be shaken

Until now an important stage of the overall structure of knowledge was missing here, a whole part of the awareness was missing that the moving power of life in the materialities is, alongside the spiritual, precisely the animistic

The Ray of Parzival creates pressure for the completion of all the stages of development in the human understanding of the work of Creation

Despite initial efforts to deny it in defiance, a turning point will come

It will be like an awakening from a heavy sleep of ignorance

In the end it will flow into the world of thought as its self-evident part, as has already happened many times when discoveries and new knowledge first met with rejection and not seldom also with merciless persecution of those who were the pioneers of such new outlooks

With progress, everything new always becomes more recognised by men, until it becomes a complete part of the world of thought

Only then will the knowledge of all the animistic servants, both of the High servants of Valhalla and of all the lesser and smallest weavers of the material world, bring the best blessing that men will be able to draw from it for their ascent

However much this cannot yet be regarded as self-evident today, in the outlook of further happening it will become self-evident that men will know all that is needful about the Aglami and will value their work

They will also be more and more in connection with them, for from co-operation with them it will be known among men that this brings everyone only help and blessing

Such is the time that lies before us

He who already today is sufficiently pure and free in his inner being can begin with full trust to seek the paths leading to the animistic servants, who are constantly near him

Earnest effort and patience in advancing will in all circumstances bring only good fruit
