Everything that happens and that we encounter on the visible plane of the material universe, thus also on the plane of the earthly world, always contains beforehand many possibilities, out of which the resulting form of the present here is only then woven

The warp of the threads is woven high up in the animistic radiation, which takes form in the planes below Valhalla

This knowledge is important for all those who occupy themselves with the Justice of God

Therefore the course shall be shown here of how everything happens and is fulfilled in the lives of earthly people

For all too many of them suppose that injustice manifests itself in their life on Earth, and that it is precisely God, as the Almighty Creator, who ought to intervene in the small happenings of men, which very often bring all the forms of suffering and pain that are fulfilled upon people seemingly without reason

It is precisely out of the knowledge of the warp of the threads that the clarification of what is really happening can gradually arise for these people

Yet not only for them

The clarification of the course by which the happening of the present is fulfilled in the earthly world brings to absolutely every man the possibility of making his own an important knowledge of the events of everyday life

People can use this knowledge for themselves and for others, if only they open themselves rightly with their inner being and strive to understand everything rightly and to transform it into active deeds

It is a liberating knowledge, which enables the spiritually receptive man to become a true connoisseur of everything that is part of earthly life

It is indeed a mastery of a spiritual kind if man may recognise that perfection of the Laws of God, which work without a single pause in everything and for absolutely all the creatures in the work of Creation

It is truly necessary to approach this only with pure receptivity and with openness for accepting that the happening of fate does not hold good only for the life here, but that the greater part of it lies outside gross materiality

The events which are regarded by earthly people as real happenings experienced in the gross material covering are only that uttermost result of the forming out of the threads which come from the finer preliminary stages of the warp of radiation

For each individual event, that is, for each instant of a single second, we thereby always find first in the finer planes an immeasurable multitude of possible fulfilments

These possible fulfilments can all become reality, yet by the very nature of gross matter only one single fulfilment of them all is in the end experienced here on Earth

It is the form of the event which in the end proves to be the strongest in its radiation

Strongest is not quite the right word here; rather we could say that it is that resulting form of experience which is the most probable by virtue of its kind and strength of radiation, which make it so mighty that precisely this experience prevails as a happening in gross materiality

It is then precisely that event which people will experience as gross material reality

The form of the experience has pushed through into gross matter, and has thereby, in an earthly way, completed in one instant the work of the weavers of the threads of fate, so that all this might come to pass as that which best corresponds to the state of the present

It is thereby a matter of one instant, which enters into the experiencing of man in his gross material wandering on Earth

This happening is continuous, and there is in it neither end nor pauses

After one experience another is already hastening along the threads, so that in the following moment it too may prevail as that which best corresponds to the state of the people who take part in it

It is possible to view this as the moving of beads along the endless thread of human existence

Each bead is an instant in which the best-formed shape of experience offers itself, which by its radiation corresponds to the given state of man's attunement

There could thereby have been several forms for the same thing, and each of them would always have brought partly different outward conditions

It is fitting here that man should let this rise before his eyes in the highest vividness, like a running film

Everything is a living radiation which works until the last instant, out of which the threads are formed, so that the conditions of how the actual gross material happening will come and how it will take its course may gradually condense

As was mentioned, in the result only one form is experienced here on Earth out of the otherwise many possible prototypes coming into consideration, which were still to be found only one tiny degree higher above gross matter

Just above gross matter, therefore, in the plane of the Aether, there are still very many forms which appear as those suitable for realisation

Thus even just above the Earth there are always several possibilities for every experiencing

Into the question of which of the possible forms finally manifests itself several influences enter thereby, right up to the last millionth of one earthly second

As has already been mentioned, the strongest influence is man's own attunement

His volition and the state of his radiation decide last of all what comes to him, and how, in the form of the experiencing of the earthly fulfilment of the threads of fate

Here it is necessary to point out that the just form of fulfilment holds good in the happenings which come from the side of the animistic weaving of the threads, out of that which had to manifest itself from the past

To this belong precisely many events, such as unexpected changes in material happenings

To this belongs everything that people call good luck or bad luck in the happenings which unexpectedly befall them

We always find it in events of a natural kind, also in injuries, accidents and illnesses, but also in all the fortunate moments when a man succeeds in avoiding something grievous

We find it in all changes for the better in bodily matters, in healings and other sudden happenings which come as help to man on his path of life

To this belong, in short, all gross material events which, from the point of view of men, happen by so-called chance

Those who at a certain moment have good radiation on their side are called blessed people and are described as those who were born under a lucky star

It is not, however, the chance luck described by men, but there always works in it all the radiation of the threads which are connected with it, and above all the childlike trust of the souls of the people concerned, regardless of the degree of maturity they have attained in their development

In these matters a certain childlikeness of soul is decisive, which permits the better to be fulfilled more than in the case of people who, though mature, are in an earthly way excessively intellectual

Thus work the threads of the direct animistic forming of happenings and of experiencing, when anything from the threads of his past returns to man

Beside this direct fulfilling of the threads through the hands of the animistic weavers there is, however, yet another kind of experiencing, where precisely the possibility of injustice arises, which is the subject of many questions of men

Precisely here there also arise many contradictions for those people who occupy themselves with questions of fate in themselves and in other people

It is the experiencing of the present happening when, in the fulfilment of the threads, several people are at the same time in the given event

In the case where some second person, or even several people, act as part of the fulfilment in the fulfilling of some happening that brings a reversal, then the strongest influence on the form of the experiencing is their free will

Here too, even in the last instant before the actual gross material happening, there is the possibility of many forms leading to the fulfilment of the reality which in the end comes to pass

In the end it comes wholly according to the Law of Attraction, in such a way that in principle that happens which is to happen, for it corresponds to the state and the volition of the people taking part

Here, however, lies that great pitfall which rests in free will

From the side of the weavers an experience comes to people in some matter which enables all who take part to conduct themselves in the best possible way, so that thereby the threads might be lived out in the sense of good and of blessing

But free will brings experiences ranging from the kindliest good to complete evil

It depends only on the people taking part

In the threads which are fulfilled between people mutually, from the point of view of the weavers of the threads of fate there always holds good only the warp, which brings them together in some kind of experience

How this experience attains its resulting form remains with the free will of men

Thus no happening is given far in advance in all its details, as many people think who are believers in fate, in karma, in the influence of the stars and in many other attempts at interpreting the ways of men through earthly life

Through this way of thinking truly many strange views have taken root, bringing interpretations about a higher working of the interventions of fate in the life of man

In reality, in the case of human spirits their free will can never be excluded, which is an inseparable part of the experiencing of absolutely all the moments of the present where people are

From the point of view of the knowledge of the paths of the developing human soul it holds good that a direction is set for it which unites within itself previous deeds and their experiencing, out of which there at once arises through the hands of the Vaenen a radiation having a certain determining power for the forming of the further development

This radiation, however, can already be changed by a further strong decision in man's inner being, and that even in a wholly opposite direction

Thus it holds good that no determination of fate is so strong that it could not be changed

On the contrary, right up to the last moment it lies always fully in the hands of men in which direction their paths of the soul and their earthly paths will go

It is always the state and the attunement of man's inner volition that decides

The spiritual inner being, which has the quality of a very strong magnet, which attracts the various possibilities of paths according to what predominates in man as his inner volition

Here it is precisely fitting to discern very carefully what is volition of the intellect and what is volition of the kind of the soul and of the spirit

That which is finer in man is thereby the strongest influence on what in the end also comes into gross matter

In this many people very often err, when they regard the decisions of their brain as that which determines the direction of events

In reality the brain influences only a certain part of the happenings which return through the warp of the threads

On what comes to man it has much less influence than is generally supposed

But here on Earth the brain has an immensely great influence on everything that arises as volition, which gradually becomes the thinking and acting of man

It is precisely on this plane that the greatest part of all injustices and also of evil volition in general arises, when man lacks intuitive perception and the volition for good in his acting

The intellect literally clothes all dealings between people in their final gross material form

It is people and again only people who in their mutual relationships shape for one another good or evil, and thereby justice or injustice, heartlessness and hell, or good and love on Earth

Thus out of a dealing in which compassion could have been shown to one's neighbour and help given him in some form, it comes about, through heartless, immature or unwise conduct, that one acts without the necessary receptivity, which leads to cold conduct and sometimes even to the causing of pain or directly to crimes

That is what is then the necessary result of the manifestations which came from the threads to man, when he is thereby, in some atonement, delivered into the hands of other people through their decisions

Here the most injustice and the most crimes arise, but also, on the contrary, there is born a multitude of pure atoning beneficence and forgiving loving-kindness, when through the threads the opportunity is shaped for the manifesting of values in the man who at that moment has influence on the earthly happening, be it by reason of his earthly power, or by reason of earthly bodily strength, which is greater in him than in the one who at the given moment is delivered to his mercy

It is precisely here that we find all the relationships of parents and children, the relationships of educators and teachers, of people in leading positions, of directors of great enterprises, of guardians of order, of soldiers, of judges and of people in public life in general

Here all the opportunities offer themselves for terrible deeds to take place on Earth, just as also the kindliest manifestations of loving-kindness of which people are capable

The determiner of the path which is formed by the threads of fate is therefore always the inner setting in man, that is, the spiritual volition

His attunement at the given moment can influence the course and the outcome of all happenings for himself and for the people around him

That is why mercy was permitted to come to the Earth, the care of orphans, the loving nursing of unknown neighbours suffering from all possible illnesses and pains, just as there were also created torture chambers, prisoner-of-war camps and concentration camps, in which the aim of heartless people was to humiliate, enslave and destroy others

The fulfilment of reality always takes place between people through their free will

And precisely through the awakening of good and of compassion everything can always change, even at the last moment, for even though the threads bring the premise of the development, it is the will of man that shapes the final form and shape

Therefore it is only and solely the people who committed them who bear the responsibility for crimes against their neighbours and against all creatures

Often it thereby happens only that at one time people are brought by the threads of fate into the role of the one who decides about others, so that they might thereby perhaps be permitted to atone for something from the past, and if precisely at that moment they fail, then they themselves often come subsequently into the opposite position, when again some other person will decide about them in their further necessary wandering through the Subsequent Creation

So it happens between individuals, just as also between groups of people divided in their views and between whole nations

The threads bring the opportunity for experiencing, but the decision as to how this experiencing will be fulfilled remains in the free will of men

Whether good or evil shall come of it

Out of the warp of radiation the path to experiencing is woven

The fulfilment of the very manner of experiencing, however, is given into the hands of men

That is the knowledge gained by the truly wise connoisseurs of bygone times, who already in antiquity occupied themselves with it

They knew of the existence of the threads of an inexorable fate, which comes from a higher kind of happening

But they also knew of the power of the inner volition of men, which on Earth forms the experiencing that then becomes gross material reality

It was then wrongly preserved as legends of the necessary dependence of human destinies upon the will of the deities of Valhalla or of Olympus, just as it was handed down according to the lands in which the knowledge of the guiding of the threads was born and preserved

It was never so, however, although many threads stretch from the places below Valhalla, where that which was past is transformed into the present

Although it holds good that only one single gross material form of experiencing acts upon man on Earth, there remains in the threads around him the echo of many other possibilities which also came into consideration as able to become reality

The warp of the radiation of the threads of fate is prepared for a great multitude of forms of fulfilment for the earthly path of man

At the starting point of the weaving in the lower part of Valhalla, where dwell Urd, Werdandi, Skuld, the spinners of the destinies of all worlds and of the creatures dwelling in the Subsequent Creation, these versions are countless

From there the threads spun into the warp stretch downwards, in order to seek, through the all-wise effects of the Laws of Creation, the moment of true maturity for their return to this or that man

This happening lies beyond the capacity of comprehension of the material intellect, for the conditions here, in which the gross materiality of the universe vibrates, do not hold good for the animistic weavers and their work

Thus the concept neither of time nor of space bound to gross matter holds good for them

The radiation of the threads is subject to the Laws of Creation, yet the ways of their developing and advancing, and also the final fulfilment for a certain matter, stand outside earthly space and time

Nevertheless these threads are here, they hold within them the warp of radiation and seek the most suitable place for forming the conditions of some event in the life of man

And still, beside this, there is here the free choice of human will, which even at the last instant can fundamentally change the course and the resulting shaping of the form of the experience

It would also be possible to add the knowledge that the soul and the spirit, after their release from the earthly body, themselves experience some of the further possible paths which are contained for them in the threads and for which there is neither room nor form in the gross material world for them to be fulfilled here as experience

The threads bear within them possibilities of which the people of today have not even an inkling, although something of it is continually being fulfilled also for them themselves, be it in dreams or in flashes which are called “seeing what has already been experienced”

The soul of man works far more than the present earthly perception of people is at all able to grasp

That is why it is possible to speak of today's dullness, which so greatly limits the earthly comprehension of man to the level of a foolish creature that knows nothing

And into this dullness people have cast themselves by always suppressing all supra-earthly happenings, and by generally regarding as mentally ill the majority of their neighbours who showed something of it in their perception

Instead of earnestly occupying themselves with it and striving to penetrate beyond the walls of the limitation of their material thinking, they cast many of their neighbours into institutions where these suffered without anyone wishing truly to understand them, in order to help them through compassion

And in still earlier times these people with some open perceptions for something supra-earthly were regarded as influenced by the darkness, and in whole multitudes they were tortured, and finally, amid empty prayers, cast onto the pyres to a terrible death by burning

And yet all that is described here belongs, after all, inseparably to the great machinery of the Subsequent Creation, and it is always only the limited ignorance of earthly mankind that stands against it in rejection and opposition

It is this rejection alone that causes people to rush, wholly unknowingly, through earthly life towards the happening which must come in order to give them the visible forms of necessary experiencing

The Alphar weave the threads leading to man, so that he may find in them the opportunity to prove his present state of inner being

His attunement decides the actual form of the visible happening

The threads are bearers of possibilities of happenings

As they draw near to gross matter some of them become more and more probable, until in the end only one earthly form of the happening is fulfilled

Still in the plane of the Aether, that is, a little above the first particles of gross matter, there are to be found thousands of variants for each moment of the present

And because many people, as was mentioned, bear within them the capacity of the sensitivity of the soul, other forms of experiencing can come to them on an earthly unconscious level, which the soul, however, experiences as reality

It can be said that man lives several forms of life on diverse planes of his existence

Now and then something from the finer planes penetrates into the gross material consciousness in the form of a flash

This must always be taken with a certain seriousness, for the warp out of which the threads of the reciprocal effects are formed does not hold good only for the outer gross material world

If people bore within them more receptivity for their experiencing of the soul, then one could speak of a true advance of man in his maturity and wisdom

For he would be able to perceive also those happenings which are destined for him as vibrations of attunement, which, however, very often uplift or crush his outward earthly mood

That is why there is speech of the need for an all-embracing volition for good

Only an all-embracing volition for good reaches into all the planes of experiencing

He who controls himself in earthly dealings in the present need not have within him any volition for good at all on the plane of the soul

He acts only selfishly, in the manner of self-control, for he has recognised that it shapes better earthly conditions for him in dealing with other people

It can be called the work of the intellect, which is able to control itself if it learns to do so

In his soul and in his spiritual inner being, however, he can be asleep, or bear anger against the whole world

He can hate his neighbours, there can dwell within him a tension of immense kind towards all life or even towards God

When then something unexpected happens to such a man and grievous events come to him, or he himself, under the influence of the pressure of the threads, commits some terrible deed, the people around him, who as a rule knew only the outward side of his life, wonder how such a thing could have happened

Although the man concerned appeared good and decent, there was not enough of the Light in him, which rests in the all-embracing volition for good

His soul either suffered, bore the oppression of past deeds of other people, or else malice had formed in the soul by its own will from the moment when other baneful souls joined it, which influenced it and dragged it down

Never, however, could it have been that true all-embracing volition for good which manifests itself under all circumstances in gentle kindliness towards all creatures and fellow-men

Such an attunement manifests itself in a natural will to good, of which childlike joyfulness and the capacity of helpful kindness towards the world are a part

Where such capacities are developed in a man, there the returning threads which bear hardships to him are dissolved, just before their realisation in the gross material happening, in the radiance of his inner being

The surrounding aura on the plane of the Aether prevents the penetration of those parts which would otherwise require the experiencing of hardships leading not infrequently even to the destruction of something earthly

The protection working therein shapes the threads at the last moment in such a way that only a good happening arises out of them

There is no need in this of a great knowledge of anything further for man to be able to protect himself against the returning threads, and also against the will of other people who act upon him

His own all-embracing volition for good is for him the best kind of help and protection

Around him too, close by, there can be helps of yet another kind, be it in the form of spiritual helpers or as a reinforcement from the animistic, which always esteems the heroism and the straightforward courage with which man faces the baneful conditions of the transient earthly happening

There is very much that should be known to people, so that they might be permitted to live life in the genuineness and greatness which precisely every moment of the present offers them

They would become truly wise in judging so many events in the visible world of earthliness

They would know that for everything which comes into the visible happening the threads were formed in the beginning out of the warp of radiation of Valhalla, when the loom which works for all that exists remembers each one with those conditions which belong to his own path

No one would then call his path the manifestation of an outward unkind fate

And least of all could there form in man, even for a moment, a thought doubting the Justice of God, which is laid by His All-Wise Will into the effects of the Laws of Creation, which drive and direct everything in a continual development forwards
